As a writer, it’s difficult not to drift sometimes. My interests are wide ranging, and despite working mainly for travel and music-based publications, I do occasionally pitch to editors on various topics that I happen to feel like writing about. This has resulted in numerous assorted and unrelated articles on diverse topics cropping up all over the place. For example, I now produce a regular column for Korean magazine ‘Eloquence’ entitled ‘Vomit’, in which I have the chance to rant humorously about all things Korea. I’ve also indulged in numerous political pieces on North Korea and Kim Jong Il, articles on sport and art on behalf of the Korea Tourism Office, book reviews, a social commentary on the changing face of the dog meat trade in South Korea, and even a brief foray into writing soccer form analysis articles on behalf of a gambling company. In short, if something interests me enough, I’ll probably write about it.

I am also experienced in producing on-spec, well-researched web content articles (including SEO style pieces), which has previously included work for FindACourse.ie, VisitSeoul.net and AroundSeoul.com.

While I generally stick to my areas of expertise, like all writers, I am a necessarily competent researcher, and always enjoy learning as I write. If you’re looking for web content, send me an email with a brief overview of what you’d like, and I’ll be happy to back to you.
